A lot can happen in between now and November. The politics interfering with governing on the planned opposition to the bipartisan immigration deal in progress highlights the sickness of party over country. Yet, even if the House blocks it, Biden can get the message across that he supported and maybe even guided the compromise and that the Republicans won't get more even if Trump wins (even if they take the House and the Senate there is still the fillibuster). The near future might have Biden reshaping the Middle East, which would be huge.
