Single pink tulip
Rose gloriously apart
From Narcissus flock
Dancing and waving to me
Third eye knew not just the wind

At first petals closed
Today you have spread your wings
Today to me sing
Tanka not supposed to rhyme
Fuck, two shits, three rats asses

Today I don’t give
Today write poem of love
Return what’s received
Eyes wonder to whom I speak
Poet’s ambiguity

See you in nature
Flower bald eagle in flight
Rebecca’s turtle
Connections abound astound
Our loved ones always surround

Paradox you are
Yes I’m now talking to you
Was my intention
When I started to compose
Poem of love for my rose
