A woman does not need a man and a man does not need a woman and masculine and feminine energies are not the same and maybe one day we'll come up with better labels that remove the gender constructs from the energies without confusing old folks like you and me with cis this and suss that.

One of my favorite relationship quotes is to the effect of do not seek someone to complete you but someone with whom to share your completeness. A complete person has awareness and comfort with and a nice balance of the two energies complementing each other, and that probably would describe the partners in a healthy relationship.
