Now I understand what seems like lunacy to me--Medium change in metrics paying for a 30 second read with nothing extra for reading time beyond that (the other engagements they pay for do make sense to me). In seeing my comment on that story, I'm reminded that I then read your 35 minute interview with the AI professor and that I left at least one meaningfully engaging comment and feeling disappointed that you didn't reply.
