Amazing work, Benighted.

A few thoughts came to mind while reading the poem and the description of the dream. "Pushed, pulled, and thrown around" reminded me of a song by Bronski Beat, "Smalltown Boy." I wondered if there were covers where the messaging might not get lost in the upbeat dance vibe--found this one: https://youtu.be/-ttpI7WXAO4?si=sQgt9_9mgEafSZBb

"All of us, similar and different," reminds me of "We're one but we're not the same" from U2's "One," and then later on while seeing the description of the dream, Depeche Mode's “So, we’re different colors and we’re different creeds

And different people have different needs

It’s obvious you hate me, though, I’ve done nothing wrong

I’ve never even met you, so, what could I have done?

People are people, so why should it be?

You and I should get along so awfully”
