Dear President Biden:
I understand all the calls for you to step aside. I also find them arrogant and judgmental.
The certainty with which newspaper columnists, editorial boards, and Medium writers prognosticate, displays arrogance.
Branding you as selfish if you don’t step aside exhibits judgmental attitudes. How do they know what’s in your heart and mind? If you truly believe you are still the best person to run the country and have a legitimate chance of keeping Trump from returning to the White House, staying in would not display selfishness (but perhaps stubbornness).
You can dispense with all that.
I find the notion of an open convention appealing if the DNC can come up with a fair process without it being a free-for-all or other form of spectacle.
