Ars moriendi--the art of dying well. I term I learned of earlier this year reading my favorite author of spiritual fiction, Hermann Hesse, when I read his first novel, Peter Camenzind, written long before the most famous loved my many novella, Siddhartha, before the great and under appreciated Demian, and longer before my favorite, Narcissus and Goldmund that I've now read four times (https://thetaoist.online/hermann-hesse-alan-arkin-and-marcus-meet-in-a-bar-to-discuss-philosophy-with-marcus-7582ce0bad14). Congrats Shawn on a great piece of fiction with spiritual undertones. The self-help purveyors of spiritual materialism like Ekschmuck Tolle do not hold a candle to the likes of Hesse, and Bach, and you.
