As synchronicity would have it, your excellent article hit my feed at just about the same moment that I was alerted to claps for this comment of mine from 11 months ago: "That sentence sums up the problem with conservatism and with the corrupted version of capitalism that has become the oxymoronic gospel of conservatives and moderates alike. They are an anathema to what sets apart, or what should set apart the human race from most of the animal world. Conservatism and false capitalism see each human as its own species battling to be the fittest, which instead of leading to survival shall lead to the demise of the individual and the species. Until we adopt philosophies on a species level basis that we are not a pack of tribes of packs of animals but souls trying to dissolve instead of reinforce ego, we are involved in a fight against each other for survival which can only be lost," responding to https://medium.com/curious/conservatism-doesnt-belong-in-the-21st-century-35afa41aaab5. I was attracted to click on your article by your reference to the invisible hand, which the "The 1%'s have perverted capitalism, and worse they quote Adam Smith out of context. Smith's Wealth of Nations posited that free-markets would lead to wealth fairly distributed among the citizens based on their contribution. We do not have free markets. We have markets twisted by laws written by lobbyists for large corporations and too-wealthy-individuals. Capitalism has been perverted into a Darwinian game of survival at the top of the food chain at the expense of others. As spiritual beings, humans are not supposed to act like animals. So, no,

Alexmaids, your father is not a communist. I am a pure capitalist. Our rigged system of capitalism is actually pathologically narcissistic as one succeeds not based upon their intelligence but upon their capacity to manipulate and take advantage of other people." That is from a short form I posted back in March.
