Broad takeaway--engaging both sides of our brains, and both sides of our energies, in whatever balance suits the individual, is something to strive for.

That's a stanza from a piece for which you created a fabulous image for me, https://medium.com/paper-poetry/poetic-reflections-on-our-shadows-and-who-captains-our-ships-b4eaed76f417, and then didn't engage 😜

As Gavin Sher wrote two years ago in a piece I read this morning, https://medium.com/illumination-curated/the-root-of-wisdom-9dbb35b64b89, which I found when I googled the Socrates thought you included today, "Wisdom is the great feminine (receptive) attribute that complements the masculine (active) quality of knowing."

Now for the specific question you asked, as you know, sometimes I build the bridge between both sides of my brain by handwriting my poems.

Anyhoo, excellent essay, jules. I noticed the growth away from passive voice.
