Brought to mind a book I saw briefly reviewed yesterday in an Associated Press post. The book is called Open Socrates. The power of arguing is not to win or be right or to prove someone wrong, but to explore different ideas and ways of thinking and then draw or shape one's own conclusions. I'd like to read it, when it comes out in paperback or is available used. Unfortunately, $35 for a book isnt in my budget these days.
