Damn girl, I was expecting a simple moon poem but everything you write these days has such depth. i like how you closed it with an upbeat stanza on we are never alone and it reminded me of an an early and simple WUTM tanka of mine:

"I talk to the moon

walking under moon-lit sky

No matter how cold

I can always layer up

My companion moon-shadow"
