every high school curriculum should include discussion of practicing Steps 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10. These steps lead to self-awareness which leads to serenity and contentment/happiness. “Shadow work” presents another path to the same destination. One day I will publish an essay calling for unity among theists and atheists, materialists and spiritualists alike that redefines spirituality in a manner that transcends all separating beliefs.
