Excellent topic and very well written. While not directly on point with your story, I am a big proponent of age is just a number. There are mature 20-year-olds and immature 50-year-olds. Another side of this is career. In May 2020 I saw this tweet: "New York is 3 hours ahead of California, but that doesn’t make California slow. Someone graduated at the age of 22, but waited 5 years before securing a good job. Someone became a CEO at 25, and died at 50. While another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years." To which I replied: "It's never too late to change one's path."
