So no, these drugs that were over subscribed for chronic pain were not well controlled by govt and heathcare organizations. Moreover, much of the chronic pain that companies and doctors threw meds at were not even the result of injuries but rather were caused by emotional trauma. Then the illegal trade started making counterfeits with fentanyl and overdose deaths have skyrocketed.
