First, thank you for the compliment.

I generally do not do this but I feel you are asking for guidance, which I will try to impart to you gently and by example and not instruction.

My connection to Source ebbed and flowed for many years until my heart breaking and soul searing awakening, which I would not want anyone to have to experience.

The first thought I had when reading and getting pensive about your comment is that you are looking exactly where you need to for Source, which is inside yourself, yet the noise of whatever religious teachings have been part of your life distract you. Perhaps if you could drop the need to understand why religions profess connection but actually cause separation...

So then I thought to point you to this piece I read the other day by Tara Desai, https://medium.com/illumination/the-existence-of-god-as-professed-by-the-nobel-laureates-f6b124a67fa7 not so much for her piece itself, which is excellent, but for the comments left therein by Anthi Psomiadou and Rebecca Romanelli, who are two of the most tuned-in people I have met on Medium.

Next I wondered if you had read this piece by Leah Castellon https://medium.com/@leahcastellon/which-religion-is-right-f0bd30e714a2 that I have cited in a few of my stories in which she writes: "If there is one clear message that I feel I have learned on my path it is this: God is love and more expansive than I can wrap my brain around; His love is so much greater than I can comprehend. With the diversity of the people on this earth, doesn’t it stand to reason that infinite love would provide a multitude of channels to access that source? I think so. For that reason, I will not adhere to any particular religion, but I will honor my personal journey and the paths of fellow earnest seekers." It was one of the first stories I ever read on Medium and it really resonated with and me and reflected much of my experience

Then similar to my first thought, I was thinking you just need to trust your intuition more and reason less, which is something DMY wrote about here https://medium.com/illumination/how-to-improve-intuition-despite-persistent-noise-information-overload-8eea9d888db6 just the other day.

My last idea was to steer you to this piece of mine, which I checked and see that you have not read. https://medium.com/illumination/i-speak-to-god-and-god-speaks-to-me-23bff8ec2274

I hope I have not intruded on your journey and that some or all of this helps

Oh yes my other thought was to ask you if you have ever read Neal Donald Walsch's book Conversations with God, An Uncommon Dialogue, Book One. I read that cover to cover in 2012 and it was a big yellow brick on my path. It's the only book by a guru type that I have ever read. So much of it resonated with me. I have not read and thus cannot recommend any of his other umpteen books. At the time I read it he had written Books 2 and 3 as well and now has written dozens but the spiritual decoder who recommended it to me said just to read book 1.

Lastly, in what could be a synchronicity, I struck up a comment conversation with someone I just met on Medium last night and she said that this book resulted in her spiritual awakening, which I will get and read one day as it seems like the type of book where I get lots of spirituality from, which is fiction (particularly Hermann Hesse)--not self help guru new age crap https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Celestine_Prophecy

Best, and much love

Marcus (Greg)--people on Medium ask me what name I prefer and I tell them to choose--they are both me
