For sure. You know my story well enough to know that on one level, the line was about my constant contact with Sitara/Lindsey, as well as occasional other dearly departed. On another level, it displays the sentiments that many display, and then there's simply the grammar lesson that the line ties together. I specifically used the singular "all" so that "were" would be understood as the subjunctive.
