Great piece Melanie. If I may supplement, ego is a necessary part of our wholeness on earth. Balance. Ego unchecked by soul is destructive and soul unprotected by ego would get decimated by life on earth, in my view. You may be saying this and this comment is more directed to those in our community who believe that anything associated with ego is "bad."
