Great poeming, as Lori (Ravyne) likes to say--it's apparently not a word but it should be.
Soul contracts are a concept I write about often and my understanding of them has morphed and refined over the years. https://medium.com/illumination-curated/life-is-school-for-the-soul-9b081dbe8453 I prefer to call them improv scripts because free will plays a huge part in how life unfolds, both our own and the butterfly effect of that of others. Also the scripts often do not define the specific act so much as a type of experience/feeling/emotion which can manifest in countless ways. That reminds me of the power of learning to identify with a share at a 12 step meeting which is applicable across all of life. The facts of one's story might be very different but one keeps an open mind, one can identify with the feelings and emotions--one can empathize with people from all walks of live and live experiences. While I do not like this writers view that life is a simulation, https://medium.com/new-earth-consciousness/the-real-reason-we-incarnated-to-earth-c75ea795e20c her insights on why people experience various aspects of life is very instructive. This piece by DL Nemeril is a must read: https://medium.com/spirit-alchemy/your-soul-knows-why-youre-here-fab15a32045f It lead to my epiphany that karma properly defined is the same as the law of attraction properly understood (I loathe the new age interpretation so much that for years I railed that the law does not exist). Properly understood it reflects our soul contracts. https://medium.com/channspirations/revisiting-karma-and-the-law-of-attraction-997965601b65
Then there is the issue of someone has to play the villain. Here's a mic drop moment I read recently that relates to your lines about trusting the meaning within meaninglessness: In a conversation with DL about the needs for villains for various purposes, DL relayed this: "Someone once asked me while in channel if Hitler would be punished in the next life. They said no. It took a great soul to pull people in that way and the task was to reveal the shadow of the world and work to heal it genre, never again."
Scanning through my poems for one about soul contracts and reincarnation, I landed upon this one that only tangentially touches upon that but that I think based on the comments it received, you will enjoy:https://medium.com/write-under-the-moon/navigating-the-desert-of-the-space-time-continuum-4f8571d85a72
This one is both a fun and deep dive into the topics: https://medium.com/living-out-loud/why-should-i-come-back-625b199f083c
I recently had a interesting psychic medium channeled conversation with Lindsey's soul which might somewhat alter the the thoughts of that poem. Here's a link to a comment I made describing it rather than quote in this already long comment: https://medium.com/@marcus17043/i-had-a-very-interesting-conversation-with-sitara-last-weekwhen-anne-pulled-her-in-on-the-d2a3391b5bd2
