Eternal question is this love or not
Bedeviling all since Adam and Eve
Forest through the trees one cannot spot
Should not give so much more than I receive

Ahhh destination I do achieve
Words spoken all aimed to hit the spot
Expressions from heart or mind does deceive
Eternal question is this love or not

Plucking petals as oracle fraught
Please look within to answer receive
Emotions treat feelings like a despot
Bedeviling all since Adam and Eve

Why why why so hard to conceive
that my heart not meat for feu au pot
Obfuscations difficult to perceive
Forest through the trees one cannot spot

Fa’s letter to Thom read before you rot
Wish my own parents taught me to believe
Rather than learn from so much distraught
Should not give so much more than I receive
