He makes interesting arguments but doesn't cite to anyone else and from what I can tell, he's not a psychologist. He is referred to as a psychotherapist, and there are no degrees listed for him on that site or even on his own website. So, the words "some psychologists are arguing" is misleading. [correction, deep in his bio on his site it says he has a masters degree in counseling, whatever that is, he is certainly not a psychologist]
