I do not get discouraged by these truths yet I would be lying if I said it doesn't hurt me on a daily basis that my sisters and mother do not read more of me (my mother reads none). The reason it hurts is they make no effort to understand who I am regardless of whether they agree with me or not. What hurts is they don't know me and make no effort to.
