How often is the thought truly conveyed? I enjoyed your poem very much as it fits your description. I enjoy writing poetry much more than reading many poets because I do not know what they were thinking. Thus, I often provide a decoder ring with my poems. A very smart reader / writer said to me recently: "I still don't see many (or hardly any) poets having a decoder ring. Some are crazy out of this world I just can't make anything out of it.

It's a waste to spend so much time composing a piece and readers don't get it, unless they only serve their kind. Poets to poets, ya know."

Yet, I understand that at a certain level poetry = ambiguity. https://medium.com/paper-poetry/does-poetry-ambiguity-4dc8ec76c269
