I actually don't use the affiliate link. I had put it in 2 stories once they were trending and getting 1000s of external views via google and android device, and not one bite. I will continue to share my work on Twitter. My point is that when Twitter readers are already members, if they are reading through the link shared on Twitter, even though they are Medium Members, it does not count as an internal read and thus we do not get paid, and that's just not "right." I highly doubt Medium will change this, so I am trying to create awareness and asking people not to read through the shared link but to go find the stories in their Medium so they count as internal reads.
