I actually had an appellate court rule in my favor in 2010 that when I walked out of my family business had been constructively terminated because of how toxic it was for me to remain there with my pathologically narcissistic cousin but it was a Pyrrhic victory as the court felt I could still somehow replace the income and thus did not reduce my support obligations. I'm not complaining. I made a lot of mistakes. Reading your story simply reminded me of the legal brief I wrote.
