I agree. One of the reasons I have not stated my program is it is not for everyone. One's level of health and side effects of abuse is part of the equation. My saying that abstinence should not be a requirement of the program does not mean that common sense should not rule over unmoderated use and does not mean that abstinence is not the goal. One of the issues I have with AA is the insistence that anyone who thinks they are different suffers from terminal uniqueness. I believe many are vitally unique.
