I agree with your points, to a point. It is truly wonderful when a funeral celebrates the life of the deceased, but even if one acknowledges the achievement of the deceased having reached the layover stop in the cycles of learning that each death represents, the loss and grief in the loved ones still here should not be diminished and needs to be experienced by them. Death is a duality--simultaneously an achievement of the dead and a great loss for the mourners. Each needs to be respected. Death is simultaneously an illusion and a grim reality. "Exit-date illusion souls do not dissipate still leaving all-too-real for somnambulists yet waking won’t salve grieving hearts"
Bottom line, great piece Maverick. I hope your readers gain from my entry in Mwc death, which I am sure will not perform as well as yours and probably won't even get to the judge's eyes: https://medium.com/the-pom/dizain-of-suicide-72bcde4dc8d8
