I am a big proponent of vulnerability. My male friends often counseled against it because their relationships with their wives are based on transactional “love.”It works for them. Not for me. I know that true love requires the intimacy that only flows from being vulnerable and thus allowing another to into-me-see. I had never heard of Brene Brown (I don’t read or watch experts — to each their own) but my first wife, with whom I am friends now (we always stayed in touch and have since discovered that we each have undergone spiritual awakenings) mentioned that name to me when I shared this piece of mine with her. I hope you enjoy it.
