I am sympathetic to your points yet am very happy to publish my poetry on Medium and while I would like to make more monetary return on my heart and soul, the other return is priceless, which is the meaningful engagement from readers and writers, and by the way I make much more monetary return than you mention. I have risen to the #2 Top Writer in Poetry, with much effort and in this month alone several of my poems, even those published in earlier months, have earned several dollars a piece.
