I appreciate the compliment and your thoughts on the matter. I think the Hemingway approach is great for fiction and character development. For essays, I do sometimes leave dots for readers to connect themselves but when I do so, I alert them to that. I've only written one fiction so far and as it was semi-autobiographical, I included much that my son said I could have left out.
