I came here through Anthi's piece today. I enjoyed your perspective and your words and structure. As we think about our own deaths, I agree I would want life just to go for everyone still alive but anyone with loved ones, and I hope you do, knows that there will be greif, and the extent and duration will depend on the circumstances. A couple of years ago I wrote two tanka on the duality of death being both real and an illusion. The first is a single 31 syllable line tanka: "Exit-date illusion souls do not dissipate still leaving all-too-real for somnambulists yet waking won’t salve grieving hearts"

"Deaths’ facts differ still

Will drives lives’ paths to deaths’ dates

Love burns — searing pain

Deepest loss most room for gain

Endless pain, Light fills the drain"
