I can't even draw a proportional stick figure yet the way you describe the artist I can relate it to myself as I can the alchemist and the pioneer. Mostly the pioneer as it correlates strongly with the aspects that I understand of my INTP Meyers Briigs typing, which I understand draw from Jung's thoughts on archtetypes. Jung talked about archteypes as being people in our ancestral line from whom we inherit various aspects of our personalities, good and bad, including attitudes about race, etc. I have a different, not contractictory, probably supplementary understanding of archetypes that relates to the mechanism of how it may work. In discussing the pioneer you say they call down ways of thinking directly from the cosmos. I don't know if you recall that I have written that there was a time after my awakening when I decided that I was Hesse in a prior life (looking back I'm almost embarrased). Anyway, part of why I thought this was because he is my favorite writer, becasue I connect so strongly to his words and thoughts, and I seemed to have a talent for writing that I could turn on and off and pick up after years without any practice or formal training. Anne said I was certainly not Hesse in a prior life and that my ability comes from connections to archetypes. That in my soul line there were probably writers from which I draw down abilities.

Perhaps all the aspects of all archetypes are uploaded into the cosmic collective consciousness and anyone can access any and all of then when as Gawain said we allow our channels to open.
