I decided after some hand wringing to keep writing and not paywall the essays. That removed the aggravation of seeing the extraordinarily low MPP, sometimes $0.00 despite engagement, and freed me up in a way to just write for me that I didn't realize I wasn't fully doing before, and now I can just thoroughly enjoy the great engagement the essays have received.
