I like what you said about first person narrative. I am a huge proponent of that in essays, as I discuss here: https://medium.com/technical-excellence/please-stop-telling-readers-what-to-do-918d7adf128f subtitled, "Try telling your story in the first-person-narrative; lead by example, not by instructing."

When I wrote my first prose poem late 2021, I didn't follow my own advice and wrote it in the third person though I am the character and I experienced the events I described. https://medium.com/write-under-the-moon/splendid-isolation-923be403a8d2 I did so because I read that a prose poem should not have the first person voice and it was my first so I followed form. I wonder if I should not have.
