I get the point. Regardless, I for one have always believed since I read that book in 2012 that NDW did indeed channel God, or at least an avatar of God. Regardless of that, I've only read Book 1. When it was recommended to me by a non religious and oh so spiritual member of the Clergy staff at Caron in PA, whom I often refer to as Mystical Meredith in some of my essays, Books 2 and 3 were already out and she told me Book 1 was enough. Everything after that was, well, repetetive. Now he has what, 19 or more books out. Channel becomes a guru. I don't read gurus. None. Anyway, I'm digressing. I often refer to that book as the first yellow brick in my road, though that's probably not true, but its impact remains with me to this day. I've been meaning to re-read it. I gave my copy to a friend many years ago. I quote passages often in my work.

On spirituality vs religion ("Religion cannot stand Spirituality. It cannot abide it. For Spirituality may bring you to a different conclusion than a particular religion — and this no known religion can tolerate. Religion encourages you to explore the thoughts of others and accept them as your own. Spirituality invites you to toss away the thoughts of others and come up with your own.")(one of many essays that have that quote:https://medium.com/know-thyself-heal-thyself/spirituality-redefined-ff45cb53eaf2 ).

On being vs doing. ("If you think your life is about DOINGNESS, you do not understand what you are about. Your soul doesn’t care what you do for a living-and when your life is over, neither will you. Your soul cares only about what you’re BEING while you’re doing whatever you’re doing. It is a state of BEINGNESS the soul is after, not a state of doingness" discussed at length here https://medium.com/@marcus17043/the-icebergs-beneath-the-surfaces-of-quotes-db86973f0447).

On relationship advice. (“The purpose of a relationship is not to have another who might complete you, but to have another with whom you might share your completeness.”--that one always gets a lot fans when I drop it in comments) Even on sex (“It’s wonderful fun. Why, it’s just about the most fun you can have with your body, if you’re talking of strictly physical experiences alone.”).

I'm sure there are so many more I should quote.

I discuss that meeting with Meredith in many of my essays. 20 minutes that changed my life forever and for better. Here's one that you will enjoy. Meredith doesn't come up till somewhere in the middle. You will like the way the essay flows between tangents. https://medium.com/promptly-written/lets-talk-about-the-egotistical-human-b-l-sh-t-about-enlightenment-7091502e9fe3
