I go with the flow when it comes to writing. If an idea pops in my head, I stop what I'm doing and I go write. Or I write a few lines in a journal and go back to sleep. I never just sit down to then decide what to write. But with you being a professional magazine writer, I imagine you have a different process and not posting would be frustrating.
