I had a similar conversation with Frank Ontario. He distinguishes between higher/highest self and soul. I do not. I see no practical reason to. Guides are definitely different but I understand why you may not distinguish. I firmly believe that each of us and our souls are assigned at least one spirit guide to aid us while incarnated. Sometimes guides replace each other as some may be assigned to help at different times in our lives.
