I have mixed thoughts on the matter. Yes, there's a difference between tagged and being substantively mentioned. Sometimes I find the former a bother and sometimes I don't. It depends on the context of the list. Occasionally I will do a mass tagging of my subscribers because I know from communication with many over the years that often subscribers don't actually receive the emails and lo and behold, those stories with the mass tags end up being more widely read. Still, I don't do it often as I do worry about being annoying.

I have noticed many stories of yours in my feed for which I have not received emails. I've meant to ask you if that's because you don't always check the subscriber box or whether it's the famous glitch which I do not believe is a glitch. I believe it's a random algorithm designed to suppress MPP. It's inconceivable to me that a bug can exist for years, unless it suits their purposes.
