In this case, i'll be quoting the comment and by expanding I don't mean explaining but expanding the scope of the story to discuss my views on things like the billions of dollars that hospitals spend on advertising that could and should instead go to healthcare but in our capitalist society they have to compete for patients and it's absurd, and how justice is not blind because both criminally and civily our alleged searches for truth are done through an agonistic advocacy system and if the pocket books are not equal, justice and truth are often not served

and I remind you that lots of people like my explanations--you do not represent my entire audience, Ted. Just the other day I received this response to my doorways poem, and from another poet no less:

"Marcus, I liked using the senryu in a series. Very effective. Each was a stand-alone, but they held a much deeper message when linked. I always look forward to your narratives that follow your poetry. I gain inspiration from them as much as from your poetry." [emphasis added]
