I like that term. I have an essay brewing in me that will remove the stigmatizing “isms” (which we must destigmatize anyway) from 12-Step paths to wholeness and even take out belief in god. When I use the term spiritual, I use it in a manner that transcends the binary of theism versus atheism. One can act entirely spiritual with or without a belief in “god” however one understands that term. Spirituality, or wholeness, only requires empathy, compassion, and love. Spirituality like science searches for truths, both cosmic and personal. https://ladyreverie.medium.com/does-science-preclude-spirituality-269e5e50b345 Personal truths lead to being the best person that one can be, and every high school curriculum should include discussion of practicing Steps 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10. These steps lead to self-awareness which leads to serenity and contentment/happiness. https://medium.com/everything-shortform/oft-covered-topic-of-happiness-has-never-been-essayed-as-fabulously-simply-as-will-buckingham-just-ef9ef1dee54d
