I read all your pieces on metabolism and nutrition and my only take away unless one has a metabolic condition is to strive for a balanced diet. My spirit guides (and you know I mean souls, not fake gurus) long ago simply said to me 70% fruits, nuts, vegies and grains and 30% animal protein. 50/50 would be a good start they said if I don't have the time or money to achieve the optimal mix.
