I thought of you and your decision this morning as I read this passage in a Medium post by a therapist I read from time to time. "Consider this. If you touch a stove that’s hot, what do you do? Well, if you’re healthy you pull your hand away. What if depression is a sense that tells you you’re doing something or not doing something and you’re going to have to change something? If that’s true, antidepressant would be like an anesthetic so that you can keep your hand on the stove longer. Of course you won’t get better- your hand is still touching the stove!"
