… open with our integrity completely exposed. Apologies soften the pain and stop emotional bleeding. The problem is that we have been taught to apologize for absurd things, such as setting boundaries or saying “no”. That’s ridiculous, to say the least. It’s insanely unhealthy. We’re basically apologizing for being ourselves, as well as for standing up for our own wellbeing.
