I'm not ready to jump on this bandwagon. He could still win. Anyone who says it's over, thinks too much of their own opinion and what however long the debate was means at this stage of the race.
I'm not saying it wasn't a poor performance, which it was.
I'm not going to say what someone should and shouldn't do at this point.
I think the pundits, paid to have opinions, have formed them very understandably quickly.
From the small sampling of undecided voter views I've seen, most said they are still undecided and no one won the debate.
I understand from your definition of a free thinker that you think being a sports fan puts someone in the conformist box, which is ridiculously reductive, but in any event I'll give one of my pet peeves about baseball announcers to exaggerate to make a point. Runner on first gets picked off. Then batter hits a home run and the announcer says the runner getting picked off cost batting team a run. That's nonsense. How the fuck does he know that the pitcher would have thrown the samep pitch in the same place and the batter would have put the same swing on the ball...
