The rest of the paragraph read "— many feel one cannot fall out of true love — here’s the fallacy in that — many correctly believe that we are constantly changing — so, since love is a state of being, it is inconsistent to insist that one cannot fall out of true love."

Love is certainly complicated, emotionally and otherwise and means many different things to many people, tough I will say that those that have experienced True Love, know it and know better or have learned better than to try to explain it, especially to those that as you say, trample, dilute and pervert it, including but not limited to pathological narcissists (not be be confused with someone who occasionally expresses narcissistic traits)
