In order for silence to be effective, one first has to have a voice. Then moments of silence can speak volumes. Anthi wrote a great poem on the power of silence. I will look for it. But when one is always quiet, then I believe fear, lack of confidence, self-gaslighting are muters, not the speaking in the silence without words.
