Interesting piece. As you can glean from my highlights, various aspects of 3 and 4 resonate with me and others don't. In the past I dubbed myself a syncretist (https://medium.com/p/39268e70d0b8 ) (Syncretism, Buffet style spiritual nourishment) but recently I decided that rather than picking what I like from various religions and leaving the rest, I see myself more as refining my own understandings and spotting them in various practices and there fore not labeling myself with any particular religion or philosophy).
So many things can have both a macro and a micro perspective. I wrote an essay not too long ago, https://medium.com/know-thyself-heal-thyself/the-human-spirit-duality-e456c0729e99 , which assessing the potentially binary question of whether we are spirits seeking human experiences or humans seeking spiritual experienes, answered that we are simultaneously both and that there is often inherent conflict between animus and spirit and that these ebb and flow, and that even a fully spiritually awakended person may act in ways that would seem to conflict with such a state.
