… plane from Stansted, I squeezed into a middle seat, and began talking to the passenger on my left. His name was Rafael and — the first of many synchronicities — he was living in the town in which I had spent 27 years.

Isn't that two right there? The town and archangel Raphael, who guards over pilgrims? (I recognized the name but Googled for the role)
