It's interesting how my memory of that episode, which is the one I have written about, was partially false. While I remember the unveiling exactly as it occurred, I have also had a false memory that the reason she had all the plastic surgeries was she had been in a car accident. The moral of the story doesn't change though, and you captured it well in your poem.
