It's time to focus on hope rather than fear. All this talk about Biden should step aside comes from fear. It's close to becoming a self fulfilling prophecy. I don't pretend to know what he should do or what will happen. I embrace uncertainty. https://medium.com/write-under-the-moon/embracing-uncertainty-7aedfa7d01b2 I did make an outside-the-box proposal a couple of weeks ago. https://medium.com/@marcus17043/an-outside-the-box-suggestion-for-biden-6c336f4a9908 Release the delegates but don't step aside.

Fear vs hope. Yesterday afternoon I was listening to a YouTube Music playlist called Campfire Classics. A Pink Floyd song came on that I had never heard. The song itself was not particularly appealing and it certainly was not a campfire classic. I almost skipped it but I thought why is this here and went back to the beginning and paid attention to the lyrics. The song is called Fearless. Take a look at the lyrics, especially the line towards the end about hope.

"You say the hill's too steep to climb, chiding

You say you'd like to see me try climbing

You pick the place and I'll choose the time

And I'll climb the hill in my own way

Just wait awhile for the right day

And as I rise above the tree line and the clouds

I look down, hear the sound of the things you said today

Fearlessly, the idiot faced the crowd, smiling

Merciless, the magistrate turns 'round, frowning

And who's the fool who wears the crown?

Go down in your own way

And every day is the right day

And as you rise above the fear lines in his brow

You look down, hear the sound of the faces in the crowd

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone

Liverpool! Liverpool! Liverpool!"
