It's very synchronistic that I read these words. Today, I read a poem written by a woman about empowering women. https://medium.com/promptly-written/a-poetic-tribute-to-womens-empowerment-845b1e615b15 I referred her to this essay I wrote about enspiring and empowering diary entries made my oppressed women in Iran. https://medium.com/@marcus17043/inspiring-words-from-women-facing-despair-with-hope-and-resilience-c04581932839 The writer reacted by questioning how these women could turn their backs on their religion. I almost but not quite do not understand her dichotomy. You can read through our response thread if you feel interested to do so. I both understand her dissonance and am still sctatching my head in beffudlement.
